People are rude in general, if they don't understand what is going on, they tend to act ignorant instead of asking questions, my advice is to completely ignore someone who is rude and doesn't know the situation. You'll probably get into an argument and that just makes things worse. Just simply ignore them.

Yes pain management is a process that takes time, some progress slower than others. My Grandmother also suffers from chronic pain, but she is improving. She eats healthier, stays more active, and incorporates some alternative medicines also. That's a great article, really hit home for me personally. Thank you.

This is very accurate and helpful information! Most people who suffer from chronic pain think miracle pills are the answer. Pain medication can be helpful, but it's more important to incorporate exercise to strengthen the body in the long run. Having the right people around you is also very important, negative people only make the situation worse.

I'd like to add something from my experience. If you take medication that needs to be refrigerated and you're staying at a hotel, call and make sure the room has a refrigerator before you check-in.

Many hotels have been cutting back on refrigerators in the rooms, and you can only get one by requesting it ahead of time. If you wait until you get to the hotel, you may be put on a waiting list. And don't store your medicine in the mini-bar - sometimes you'll get charged for even opening it and moving things around.
